Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise Week, being held in Co. Leitrim, is in full swing this week, running until Friday 7th October.

On Friday 4th November the 2011 Douglas Hyde Conference will take place in the BMW Regional Assembly Conference Room, Ballaghaderreen for a one day event completing the third year of the Culture and the Economy cycle associated with this annual conference.

An Taoiseach Enda Kenny officially opened a new customer service centre in Co Galway which is expected to create 200 jobs.
BioWare Ireland is a division of global entertainment giant Electronic Arts (EA). The Galway facility is intended to provide BioWare with greater proximity to European players of its games, which include Star Wars: The Old Republic, Dragon Age: Origin, and Wrath of Heroes. >> More here

A new call for applications to the Competitive Start Fund has been launched.
This call is open to applications from the ICT & Industrial sectors including the following sub-sectors: Internet, Games, SaaS, Cloud Computing, Enterprise Software, Telecoms, Lifesciences, Cleantech and Industrial Products.
