Having recently celebrated the10th anniversary of the Western Development Commission (WDC) we're going to take a moment to reflect on our goals and on what we've achieved for the Western Region over the last 10 years.

The WDC has had a strong focus on improving infrastructure to enable the West to be competitve in attracting enterprise and jobs to the region. It has developed strong strategies in a number of areas where the Western Region has a particular advantage – organic agri-food production, renewable energy and rural tourism. >> Read more

Now almost six years old, LookWest.ie has a lot to be proud of. Visits to the website have grown in double digits every year during this time, and by keeping abreast of the advances in social media, LookWest.ie is now reaching out to an international audience to tell the fantastic story of Ireland’s Western Region. >> Read more
