Now almost six years old, LookWest.ie has a lot to be proud of.  Visits to the website have grown in double digits every year during this time, and by keeping abreast of the advances in social media, LookWest.ie is now reaching out to an international audience to tell the fantastic story of Ireland’s Western Region.  LookWest.ie is a true example of using the latest technology to tell the story of a uniquely beautiful region where creativity, quality of life and entrepreneurship go hand in hand.  

 
  • Case Studies: A new video case study section has been added containing a series of honest and engaging interviews with people who have taken the leap and moved to the West of Ireland.  They discuss the benefits, the challenges, the quality of life, business supports and their own personal decision. >> Visit Case Studies
  • Social Media EngagementFacebookTwitterLinked in and Youtube profiles have been set up to enable users to access the LookWest.ie message and information in the way that suits them best.
  • News and Events: Both the News section and Events section have been brought to the forefront of the website to keep users informed of what's on in terms of news, publications, events, seminars and any other information relevant to the region.
  • Updated and Expanded Content: Content has been updated and expanded to give a more in-depth look at the region. Context sensitive 'Useful Links' have been added to every page to ensure that users to the site are fully equipped with all the information they need.  A new section on the emerging Eco & Renewables sector has been added.
  • Easier Navigation:  A more intuitive menu structure makes it easier for users to navigate.

By moving with advances in online technology, LookWest.ie has updated the website to provide new methods of communication with our audience.  It is now more than a repository of information; it has become an interactive, engaging and dynamic resource that conveys the creative and positive spirit in Ireland's Western Region.
