Join us in Galway for the Volvo Ocean Race Festival 2012

All roads lead to Galway as it prepares to host the 3rd largest sporting event in Europe this year.

The City of the Tribes will welcome the Volvo Ocean Race Grand Finale on 3 July 2012. Expect big, big things as part of the nine-day festival.  Galway’s done this before of course; as stopover at the 2008-2009 Volvo Ocean Race, the city cemented itself in race legend.

From 10am to 10pm, for the whole nine days, the Race Village and the Global Village will be a hub of live music, dance, games and cinema.  From DJs to orchestras, The Sawdoctors to Sharon Shannon, Imelda May to Lisa Hannigan, Galway will be a non-stop party zone.

Each day of the festival is dedicated to one of the previous stopover countries with the lovely Eyre Square passing as American soil for the 4th of July.
