Global healthcare company Alere to create 100 jobs in Galway

Global healthcare company Alere is to establish an international business service centre in Galway with the creation of 100 jobs over the next four years.

The jobs will include customer and technical support, finance, legal, vendor and logistics management, contract manufacturing management, quality assurance and regulatory affairs.

The centre will be located in the IDA Ireland Business & Technology Park, Parkmore East, Galway.

The jobs are being created with the support of the Government through IDA Ireland.

Massachusetts-headquartered Alere develops and manufactures products that provide diagnostics and health management solutions, for cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, toxicology, oncology and women's health.

The Galway-based international business service centre will oversee its commercial operations outside of the US.
