First Friday Arts Club at Sligo Trades Club

The Trades Club is delighted to announce the second in a series of free monthly events. The First Friday Arts Club will present the work of both local and international visual artists, performers and musicians. The event takes place in the Trades Club at Number 2 Castle Street, Co Sligo, the recently reopened cultural centre which offers the space for developing local arts initiatives, music, events, training and socialising.
Curated by the artist Seamus Nolan the night will feature screenings by Grace Weir and Graham Parker, Martin Healy, Lisa Marie Johnson, The Bruce High Quality Foundation, and Eva and Franco Mattes of the notorious 0100101110101101.org, with performances by Oscar McLennan, Hillary Gilligan and Sorcha Fox and music by the very talented Conor Walsh. Beginning at 8pm Friday the 1st of July the evening promises to be an eclectic must see for your cultural calendar.
Also not to be missed August 5th's First Friday Arts Club will host 'Live @ 8' the long running bi monthly Galway arts event. Aine Phillips, Vivienne Dick and Maeve Mulrennan organisers of 'Live @ 8' will curate a special evening of visual arts, film, and music.
