Best Sales are Gained through Structured Consultation. “Sales are the bedrock of all businesses and the link to survival yet many companies may not pay enough attention to the homework needed to open and close a sale. Their expectations are high but their preparation may be low,” said Helen Downes, chief executive of Shannon Chamber announcing details of a high-powered sales seminar being offered by the Chamber to members and non-members on Thursday, 9 June. Taking place at the Oakwood Arms Hotel, Shannon, this two-hour seminar commences with registration at 8.30 a.m. and, as demand is likely to be exceptionally high for a seminar of this pertinence, early booking is advisable. The seminar is being delivered by Jonathan Bell, who has authored ‘The Book on Relationship Selling’, which has been snapped up by eager sales executives and directors. Mr Bell has also developed a bespoke sales process known as ‘The P.R.O.S.P.E. R.© Consultative Selling Method', which is designed to assist salespeople perfect the prospect/customer sales meeting. “Successful selling starts with finding out about the prospect, their products, processes, markets and customers and then assessing how they could benefit from using your product or service. It’s about a mutual understanding of operational styles, and over time, developing a lasting trust,” said Mr Bell, whose company, Dublin-based The Prosper Sales & Marketing has worked with a broad spectrum of clients to improve communication skills, relationships with people, and pitch clarity. Shannon Chamber is delivering this seminar in response to members’ request for a fast-paced seminar which will de-mystify the sales process, which is feared by many companies where the sales instinct does not course through their veins. “Shannon Chamber hopes to learn from this seminar too. We’re as interested in it as our members, so we’ll be sitting in the front seats,” enthused chief executive Helen Downes. The sales seminar, which takes place at the Oakwood Arms Hotel in Shannon on Thursday, 9 June, is open to members and non-members. Early booking is most definitely advisable. It's of relevance to new and experienced sales people, account managers, and business owners.
