'Futurescapes' Exhibition by Leo Scarff Design at The Leitrim Sculpture Centre

Leo Scarff Design is delighted to announce an upcoming exhibition of new work entitled 'Futurescapes' at the Leitrim Sculpture Centre in Manorhamilton, Co.Leitrim from the 20th May to the 10th June 2011. The exhibition will explore an area of research which the studio has been fascinated by since 1994 - modular structures inspired by natural and man made form.
Arising from a recent residency at the Sculpture Centre where he undertook weeks of research into Laser and CNC cutting at local manufacturers the series of new sculptures all have a common logical formation stemming from Leo's product design background. As a result the artworks will examine the relationship between design and art, function and form and the beauty of production.
 
Leo Scarff is a product designer, based in Manorhamilton, Co.Leitrim. He has worked extensively within the commercial furniture and lighting area, designing and manufacturing installations for clients throughout Europe and America since setting up his studio in 1997. The studio will launch a new collection of furniture - 'Hiberform' at the TENT Interior Product exhibition, London in September this year.
