The Bogtrotters Marathon is a Full, Half & Relay Marathon with a difference! Taking place on the 23rd July 2011 it traverses the beautiful bog landscape of east County Roscommon; beginning and ending in the magnificient Strokestown Park demesne it winds its way to Rooskey and back. The course is well-drained and is largely on tarmacked roads with one bog road and two grassy tracks and is flat/undulating but with a few sneaky hills. Suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities - relay stages of 3.5, 4, 5, 6 and 8 miles. |
