The taste of success for Bar One

Castlebar was firmly placed on the gourmet map of Ireland as Bar One took the title of “Best Gastro Pub” in Mayo at the Connaught Irish Restaurant Awards 2011 in Galway on Monday 28 March 2011.

Speaking at the Connaught Awards, Mark Cadden, Proprietor of Bar One said:

“We are thrilled to receive this award and we thank our valued customers who voted for us.  We are overwhelmed with the staggering level of support and good wishes that we have received.
We are proud of our product at Bar One and work very hard to offer excellent quality and value for money.  I would like to pay particular thanks to each member of my team at Bar One, all of whom share in tonight’s success.”

Bar One will now compete for the Regional and All Ireland Title in the “Best Gastro Pub” Category which will be announced at the Irish Restaurant Awards in the Burlington Hotel Dublin on Wednesday 25th May 2011.

Declaring the night a resounding success for the Industry in Connaught, Paul Cadden, President of the RAI said:
