So Sligo

This year's SÓ Sligo Food & Culture Festival promises to be even bigger and better than last year's hugely popular event.

SÓ Sligo is delighted to announce that they are one of the first community food festivals to develop a Smartphone App to connect visitors to SÓ Sligo to the myriad of events, gigs & fun. The app will be available on the Android Market and iTunes App Store.

Tomorrow (March 3rd) Só Sligo launches their DART advertising campaign in Dublin and they have just launched a great food bloggers competition – details below.

So Sligo FOOD BLOGGERS

Your chance to win a 2 night action packed trip to the Só Sligo Festival…

The winner will be chosen by a panel of So Sligo chefs. Winner announced on Monday 14th & must be available to join us at the Festival later that week!

Last year, Só Sligo launched the first World Irish Stew Championship which really captured the interest of the food community and the public. This year, in addition to the Irish Stew Championship, and with the excellent support of Fáilte Ireland, we are searching for a new signature dish for Ireland. This dish should be a true celebration of Irish food, the talent of our people and the glorious ingredients that are natural to us. The aim of this competition is to create a new Irish national dish, suitable for service in the regions deluxe restaurants. This prestigious competition is open to all chefs and cooks – professional and amateur.

As a thank you to the food blogging community who are so kind to share information on our festival (www.sosligo.com), we are delighted to offer you the chance to win a fantastic food filled visit to the festival with a food & fun edge.
