Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership is delighted to announce the return of theAn Post Tour of Sligo 2011 on Sunday 8th May

Cycling legend, Sean Kelly is the ambassador for the An Post Cycle Series and the An Post Tour of Sligo is delighted to announce that he will be coming back to Sligo for another year, giving participants, both local and visitors to the county, the wonderful opportunity of cycling alongside this living cycling legend. Get on Your Bike and Be Part of the An Post Tour of Sligo 2011!

The first cycle event of this kind held in Sligo took place in 2009 and again in 2010; both have been outstanding successes  with over 1,300 cyclists taking part last year. It was fantastic to see so many  people of all ages and cycling abilities out on their bikes and enjoying all that Sligo has to offer. So let’s build on this and make it an even bigger and better event in 2011!. This cycling tour will afford people of Sligo and visitors to the County, the chance to enjoy stunning scenery ranging from majestic mountains to spectacular sea views and including picturesque country scenery and rural villages from the saddle of a bike.
