IT Sligo Enterprise & Innovation Week 2011: Promoting the spirit of entrepreneurialism

The second annual IT Sligo Enterprise & Innovation Week takes place from Tuesday March 1st to Friday March 4th.

Enterprise & Innovation Week celebrates IT Sligo’s links with regional enterprise and the community, featuring the very best in experts on a range of subjects including, innovation, leadership, team building, female entrepreneurship, sales skills, and digital media marketing, in a series of free public sessions.
The key note event during the week is a panel discussion on ‘Global Opportunities for Irish Talent’, chaired by author and broadcaster Anton Savage and featuring contributions from international CEOs Danuta Gray (Non Executive Chairman of O2 Telefonica Ireland), Steve Castree (CEO of Equinoxe AIS) and Larry Farrell (The Farrell Company – a leading authority and writer on international entrepreneurship). This takes place at 3pm on Wednesday, March 2nd .

President of IT Sligo, Professor Terri Scott, said that Enterprise & Innovation Week is a sign of the strong relationships that exist between IT Sligo and the regional and international business community; “It’s vital that Higher Education Institutions have strong links with enterprise and IT Sligo has been nationally recognised for our innovative approach to our collaboration with industry. Enterprise & Innovation Week is an important event in our academic calendar and is a practical demonstration of our commitment to enterprise and the development of the North West region.”
