Temple House Festival, Ireland’s newest boutique music and arts festival, which takes place in the stunning grounds of the Temple House estate near Ballymote in Sligo from 10-12 September, has added some of Ireland’s best established and rising talent to its line-up including Preachers Son, Bipolar Empire, Majella Murphy , The Dub Doctor Sound System, The Curtain Thieves, Shouting at Planes, The Revolutionary Commandos of the Third Secret Of Fatima, The Little Beauties, The Trampz, James Morrin, Stylaman, Karma Parking, TKO, The Danger Is and Lisa McLaughlin.

Live music and DJs will be the core source of entertainment however they will be complemented by a host of peripheral activities around the Temple House Festival site.   A full medieval village featuring battle re-enactments will include work shops, traditional crafts and a medieval kitchen.   A unique arts trail will be located in a stunning natural setting enhancing the beauty of its surroundings with individual and very unique art and installations.

The Temple House courtyard will host a farmers’ market, vintage clothes, jewelry fair and the walled garden will be the heart of children’s activities and workshops to occupy idle hands, whilst integrating ages, and ability. Children’s activities will be themed and materials provided for a full day of creative production culminating in the nightly kid’s parade, led by the Temple House Pied Piper!  The parade will create a noisy grand finale, ending in the family camping area, where bedtime friendly stories will be read aloud, so the little tykes can rest their weary hands, ready for another creative day!

The organisers are expecting up to 5,000 music fans in the first year of the festival with the possibility of increasing this number in later years.  However, they are keen to stress that the key to the festival’s atmosphere will be achieved by adhering to their strict mantra of ‘quality over quantity’.  Festival-goers will be welcomed to the festival camp site from Thursday evening and will be able to sleep in campervans, yurts and tepees dotted around the festival grounds, as well as the usual camping options for those on a budget.    The campsite will be open until Monday at noon.
