Burren Smokehouse strikes gold at the 'Oscars' of the Food Industry

The Burren Smokehouse is celebrating. Three of their wonderful smoked salmon products were recently awarded 2* Gold Medals! Not just any gold medals, but those with two stars!. They are thrilled to see the reward for their efforts to maintain and improve the high standard of the quality of their products, and to create new mouth-watering varieties.
Considering that there were over 6,000 entries for the awards, and only 457 products were awarded a 2* Gold Medal, this is definitely no mean feat!
The Burren Smokehouse is a family-run business, set up in 1989 by Birgitta & Peter Curtin. They believe in finest quality food products, good customer care and a great team to ensure that they continue to lead and shine as an Irish food producer.
They carefully source their quality raw materials for the Burren Smoked Salmon, Trout, Mackerel and Cheese. They control their own quality standards with backup of regular testing from independent laboratories and regular checks from independent organizations.
