The Sligo County Enterprise Board 'Start your Own Business' Programme could provide them with invaluable assistance. This I.L.M.-accredited Programme runs one evening per week, for 6 weeks, and addresses the following topics:

• Self- Assessment & Starting your own Business
• Legal Issues for Start-up's
• Researching the Market
• Preparing a Business Plan
• Marketing for the small business
• Finance
