Tradelinks mentor programme - call for interested businesses

Sligo County Enterprise Board are seeking suitable Sligo businesses to register their interest for Tradelinks 2012. Tradelinks is a business development programme, delivered by Enterprise NI & its network of Local Enterprise Agencies and the Border County Enterprise Boards, designed to assist the micro-enterprise sector across Northern Ireland and the Border counties of Louth, Monaghan, Cavan, Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal in developing their ability to undertake or expand their cross-border trade.

Tradelinks hopes to deliver a third tranche of the programme beginning in mid-2012. Tradelinks are seeking expressions of interest from businesses who believe this programme would be of benefit.

The programme is a mentoring type programme that is funded through cross-border funds and participants can receive up to €5,500 worth of professional help in developing and expanding their business which will include:

  • Initial assessment of your business and a Business Improvement Plan to help you focus on the issues you should be addressing
  • Market Entry Support (a marketing plan to assess potential target markets)
  • Business Support Mentoring (Can include for example a mix of Marketing, Finance, IT and E-commerce, Systems and procedures, Market Research, Exporting etc.)
  • Linkage Support (support to help you develop sales pitches and get face to face meetings with potential customer(s) in Northern Ireland)
