Young Mayo agri firm wins Enterprise of the Year

Agrispread, an agricultural machinery manufacturer run by three brothers from Co Mayo, was named Enterprise of the Year by the City and County Enterprise Boards.
Supported by Mayo County Enterprise Board, Agrispread manufactures and exports agricultural machinery, such as lime and fertiliser spreaders, slurry tankers and bale feeders.
Run by David, Dermot and Marcus Murphy, the micro-enterprise currently exports 85pc of its products to seven countries, including Poland, Holland, Germany, the UK and South Africa.
The company was set-up up by the Murphy family in 2007 and currently employs ten people on a full-time basis with plans to grow the workforce to 25 by the end of 2012.
