National Enterprise Awards finalists revealed

National Enterprise AwardsEight companies, two from the West, Donegal and Mayo, have been unveiled as finalists in the fifteenth annual National Enterprise Awards.

Sendmode.com from Co Donegal (John McNamara) supplier of simple, reliable, low cost bulk SMS and mobile marketing services to thousands of organisations and Running Gear of Co Mayo, trading as Agrispread (David Murphy) who operate in the agricultural machinery sector.

Examples of ingenuity

“This year’s finalists are great examples of the ingenuity and innovation that exists in Irish businesses today,” said Michael . Kelly, of the County and City Enterprise Boards (CEBs).  “Growth in sales, exports and workforces are signs of healthy businesses and these micro enterprises offer inspiration to other companies."

Last year’s overall winners, ABC Nutrition from Co Clare, scooped the ‘Exporter of the Year’ Award on Friday night last (11th November). Supported by the Clare County Enterprise Board, the company develops and manufactures nutritional powders, vitamin capsules and spray vitamins.

Organised by the 35 County and City Enterprise Boards, the ceremony for the Enterprise Awards is taking place in Dublin Castle on 24th November.
