The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland is running a nationwide competition for post-primary students called ‘One Good Idea’ to increase their understanding of energy efficiency and climate change.
The objective is to encourage them to take individual and collective responsibility for tackling these important issues, and to highlight how one good idea can make a big difference to our pockets, ourselves and our planet.
The One Good Idea project allows groups of students to work in teams to research, design and implement a campaign to promote energy efficiency and improve climate change awareness to one of three target audiences: adults and the wider community, their peers or primary school children.
Students can use events, drama, art, music, film, photography or writing to bring their idea to life and ensure the message reaches their audience in the most effective way.
The final is in May 2012. For more information click here.
