Swapping Spree Fundraiser!

The Swapping Spree Fundraiser will be taking place on Sun 23rd Oct from 10am-12.30pm, in the Teeling Centre, Collooney. All proceeds raised from this event will go towards the Marie Keating Foundation and The Roundabout Gallery, Collooney.

What is a ‘Swapping Spree’?

Well, it’s an ever-increasingly popular way to revamp your wardrobe, that’s what! You are encouraged to weed through all those fashion items in your wardrobe that you KNOW you’re never going to wear, bring along a bag of them (any size bag from carrier bag to bin bag!) to the event and then hopefully pick up some gems on the day that other people have now unleashed from THEIR wardrobes. 

There is a ten euro entry charge at the door.  You then receive 2 tokens for each item of clothing you have brought in. For those of you who come along without a bag, don’t worry, we’ll gladly let you take part!  You will pay ten euro at the door and that will give you a head start of twelve tokens. All garments in the centre will be priced for convenience sake.

You will easily be able to ‘buy’ more tokens in order to select whatever takes your fancy.  After that, you just merrily hunt among the fashion treasure that we will feverishly lay out from everyone’s contributions and we sincerely hope that you will go away a lot happier than you came. It’s a brilliant opportunity to enjoy a feel-good ‘fashion fix’ AND support 2 good causes.

In this day and age, it is harder to find money to treat ourselves to ‘a bit of a lift’ but this is one way of accomplishing that, and on a very small budget.
