The good people at the Adaptation Festival in Dromahair, Co Leitrim have outdone themselves this year with a genuinely thrilling event focusing on film and TV versions of John le Carré’s work. Fans of the original television adaptation of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy will fight to get a ticket for the public interview with John Irvin, director of that 1979 BBC production.
Jeremy Howe, head of drama for BBC Radio 4, will be attending to discuss the recent, excellent radio adaption of the George Smiley novels. And, of course, the event will be screening such fine films as The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, The Deadly Affair and The Looking Glass War.
Adaptation runs from October 14th to 16th.
