 The Roscommon Arts Centre will be celebrating Culture Night this Friday, 23rd September with a free exhibition opening followed by a free concert.
As part of Roscommon Arts Centre's programme for the evening you are invited to come along to the opening of ‘The Sea Inside', an exhibition of work by artist Gavin Hogg, where you can wander around the gallery, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, view the work and meet the artist. Gavin will also be on hand to give a very informal talk about his work and how he creates his art. The exhibition opening is from 5.30pm-7.00pm and entry is free.
Then following the opening will be a free concert in the auditorium from 7pm-8pm. Take a seat as local seanchaí Vincent Pierse regales you with tales. Patsy Hanly (flute), John Wynne (flute and tin whistle) and singer Pauline Hanly will join in the evenings celebrations to showcase the talents of some of the finest traditional musicians the county has to offer. Bring along your instruments or indeed your voice and feel free to join in during this free hour-long concert. All are welcome.
