There are two routes to choose from which caters for both novice and senior interests. This event affords an opportunity to raise much needed funds for the islands secondary school Coláiste Naomh Eoin, ensuring both the continued development and viability of this independent island community. Refreshments are available before and after the race which include a full hot buffet. Nightly entertainment available for those wishing to spend the weekend on the island, including the annual fancy dress party in the local. This is a unique event where the 'craic' keeps them coming back year after year! Inis Iron Meáin is a race which will be taking place on 15th October, on Inis Meáin which is one of the Aran Islands off the coast of Galway. This unique island event is now in its eighth year attracting hundreds of participants annually which includes top athletes from all over the country.
