Newstalk wants to find the place that 'Defines Ireland'

 Newstalk have launched a new campaign called 'Defining Ireland', where over the next 8 weeks they want the Irish public to let them know their choices for the very best in the following five categories by emailing them on

- historic attractions
- iconic landscapes
- traditional pubs and bars
- festivals & cultural events
This is not an easy ask – like which is a better pub, Tig Coili (chi coley) in Galway or Matt Molloy’s in Westport?And if you were to choose between the Willie Clancy Music Festival or the Oyster Festival, just one of half a dozen top class festivals that are as good as any you’ll find anywhere in Europe? And when it comes to iconic landscapes – that’s an even harder pick – there’s the Cliffs of Moher, sure, but what about the Doolough Valley in County Mayo or the sight of Inish Mor as you approach by boat?
