Get Voting! Shortlist for 'Capture a Sligo Summer Moment' now live.

With over 500 entries, we've been overwhelmed with the response to our ‘Capture a Sligo Summer Moment’ photo competition.  As expected, entries to the competition were filled with the awe-inspiring landscapes, surf-scapes, festivals, gigs and summer fun-filled shots of Sligo town and county. Of particular interest was the great number of entries which captured some of the buzz around Sligo for the Lissadell concerts and Fringe Festival. 

The creativity and energy of the photographs submitted made the judges job very difficult.  However, a shortlist of twenty images has now been finalised and is available for viewing here.

Successful short-listed entrants include Eddie Johnston, Frank Fortune, Dennis Burke, John Paul Tiernan, Dan Leydon, Radka Bartova, Alan McDaid, Val Robus and Darek Novak.

An exhibition of the short-listed entries is on view from now until August 14th at the recently opened ‘Capture Gallery’, the place for fine art photography situated above Shooting Stars on Market Street, Sligo.
