WDC Welcomes the Green Dragon into Galway

LookWest.ie were thrilled to welcome the Green Dragon crew into Galway during the Volvo Ocean Race Festival in Galway.  The Festival proved to be an unprecedented success. More than 650,000 visited the Volvo Ocean Race Village and Salthill for the two-week stopover from May 23 to June 6.  The LookWest.ie and Pix.ie competition also attracted phenomenal interest, and easily surpassed the Irish record of 10,000 for the most photograph uploads.

More than 15,000 photographs were uploaded to pix.ie during the two-week event and there are currently 16,756 photos live on the site. The pictures are available for viewing here.  Marine Sports Photographer David Branigan is helping us with the difficult task of selecting an overall winner.
